    Description

WWI Wound Certificate and five N.G. promotion certificates
Six rolled certificates of a soldier's military service. The largest of which is a World War I Wound Certificate. Melvin M. MacDonald served in the 102nd MG BN of the 26th Division and was wounded.
The other certificates pertain to his Massachusetts National Guard service after WWI from 1920 thru 1927.
    1920 promoted to CPL.
    1920 promoted to SGT.
    1922 promoted to 1st Lt.
    1927 promoted to 2nd Lt.
and oath of office as 1st Lt. 1923
Certificates are in good condition and have been in rolled storage, any of them could be framed. The largest, The WWI Wound
    Certificate
does have some creases in it. These wound
    certificates
are highly collectable and framed ones bring a good price.
Good potential for research project. I myself found information on MacDonald in relation to his pension. I've included a picture of his pension card and will send along a print of it.
