Description
Preowned in acceptable/good condition.I'm selling these 2 items together. They came into my possession together but I do not know if the soldier pictured is the one that is named in the discharge paper.
The discharge papers are framed in a glass and heavy cardboard frame. At the top of the frame is the American Eagle and it is also at the top of the discharge paper. The frame measures 10-1/4" x 12-1/2".
Soldier's name: Alfred A. Argyle
Birthplace: Baraboo, Wisconscin
The backside of the discharge paper has the signature of the soldier (Alfred A. Argyle) and his date of enlistment is May 14, 1915.
Please note that the discharge paper has some missing areas particularly along the right hand side and missing the corner edge as well. I have not tried to open up the frame to examine the paper.
The photography of a young solider may or may not be Alfred A. Argyle. As mentioned above, I came into possession of these items together. I cannot authenticate that it is indeed Alfred A. Argyle. The picture is in a frame that measures 8-1/2" x 10". The wire hanger in the back has broken off of one side.
