Vintage Beany and Cecil Vinyl purse or bag style Lunchbox 1961 / red zipper case

Description

Offered for sale is a red round Beany & Cecil cartoon character lunch box with attached strap.
The front fold-down face of the case has the young boy Beany with his famous propeller beany cap in the Leakin’ Lena sailboat while the green sea monster Cecil swims alongside.
Also inside the boat are Captain Horatio Huffenpuff and Dishonest John plus Crowy is in the crows nest.
The text along the bottom front reads, “Cartoon Characters © 1949-50-61 Robert E. (Bob) Clampett”.
The last date referenced on the copyright is 61 for 1961.
The Bob Clampett cartoon characters where well known with a special feature for Beany was that the propeller on his cap allowed him to fly (BeanyCopter).
The round tote is made from Vinyl and measures approximately 9’ wide x 3-1/2” deep x 8” tall (11-1/2” tall with the handle).
There is a crack and crease in the Vinyl along the fold down joint as shown.
The crack does not go through to the interior and is not visible on the inside of the bag as shown.
Also, there is a smudge as pointed out near Cecil’s head.
The lunchbox is in over-all good condition with clear graphic and bright colors.
The inside is clean.
The zipper is stiff but works well.
There are no cracks where the strap attaches to the case.
The bottom is clean and not all scuffed up.
Nice collectible Beany and Cecil red Vinyl lunchbox.
