    1. Letter, G.H.Q. American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) from Pershing to US Soldiers at the conclusion of their WWI service in France. This copy was furnished to George W. Ware and has his typed name. Document is a General Orders No. 38-A dated France, February 28, 1919. Letter talks of patriotism, the sacrifice, individual's importance to the war/victory, duty and more. Facsimile Pershing signature. Letter signed by W. J. Ovington, 2Lt. 4th Engrs (commanding). Letter/Document is similar to the type later issued by General Eisenhower to the troops at the conclusion of WWII.
