You are bidding on an incredible find.  This one page letter from the "Affiliated Lecture & Concert Association" is typed to Major General Smedley Butler discussing engagements in Vermont & Montreal.  It discusses the associations dissatisfaction with him.  It also discusses money for appearances lined up.  Smedley Butler's address appears at the top of the letter which is dated January 10, 1934.  It is all typed with no signatures.  Letterhead on reverse side of typing.  It is a great piece of history.
Smedley Butler was a United States Marine Corps major general, the highest rank authorized at that time, and at the time of his death the most decorated Marine in U.S. history.
The top of the letter has a rusty paper clip stain.  No rips or tears.
