    Evocative bronze sculpture of a mother and child ,wrapped in blanket with detailed edge design and mottled finish.
    Cliff Fragua / Clifford Fragua (Jemez Pueblo, 1955-   ) is an internationally known, award winning New Mexico Native American Indian sculptor and stone carver; he is best known work is his statue of Po'pay, a 10 foot tall Tennessee marble statue represents the State of New Mexico in the National Statuary Hall in the Capitol Building in Washington D.C.
    Weighs 6 pounds, 6 ounces. Wooden base is 5.5 by 3 inches. Sculpture is approximately 2.5 by 4.5 by 9.5 inches tall, plus the 3/4 inch height of the base.  Signed C Fragua and numbered 3/30.
    CONDITION :   This is an estate find with a cracked wood base.  I suspect it has been dropped.  Please look at all the pictures carefully. Close examination shows there is a very small flattened portion to the side of the child’s head that may, or may not, be the a result of the drop; but you have to look carefully to notice it. I don’t find it that noticeable, or that it detracts from the beauty of the art work;  but if this bothers you, then this is not the sculpture for you. It is best seen in the ninth
    picture.
