    Lot of 3 (Three) Vintage Matchbooks each feature a railroad design on the front, with title and description on the back.  The following matchbooks are included in the lot:
    DeWitt Clinton
    The DeWitt Clinton, first steam-powered passenger engine in New York State.
    William Crooks
    The William Crooks, built by Smith & Jackson in 1861, was the first locomotive in Minnesota, and made its maiden run on June 28, 1862, from St. Paul to Minneapolis.
    DOROTHY
    The "Dorothy," a Lehigh Valley Inspection engine, built at the Wilkes-Barre Shops in 1884, was used to haul the superintendent and other officials over the road.

    The Vintage Railroad Matchbooks are in Very Good to Excellent Unused Condition for their Considerable Age.  All of the original red-tipped matches remain inside the old matchbooks, and the strikers are unused.  Please see accompanying photographs.
