Barbie Vinyl Lunch Kit & correct Canadian matching thermos in Nr Mint Condition & issued 59 years ago by Mattel Canada. This lunchbox was issued in 1962 by Mattel USA as listed in the Lunchbox & Barbie Guides...However this version was issued only in Canada a year later in 1963 (Stamped Mattel Inc 1963) with Different Canadian style thermos. I have never seen another example of this Lunchbox & you will
NOT
find this lunchbox listed or pictured in any guides.... Differs from the USA issued version from a year earlier in that the Handle is classic Canadian style & rounded as well check the interior...does not have the flaps on the sides & check out the color...Pink !!!! All of USA Barbie, Midge & Francie vinyl lunchboxes have a black interior.....as well Barbie's ear is Black not blue as per the USA version & note the thermos......

Taller with Red Neck & Cup differs & it is stamped Made in Canada as well bottom of thermos stamped Toronto Canada. Lastly the thermos Logo on the top lid is Canadian design & differs from the USA Thermos logo as found on the American boxes. I've only ever seen one other Canadian issued Barbie vinyl Lunch kit & i believe that one was issued in 1964 & had a white interior. Again Nr Mint Condition with a name written on the inside which will not effect the display of this Rare Barbie Collectible. This is easily one of if not one of the Rarest Barbie collectibles i've ever run across in my years of collecting. Doubt you will ever see this one again any time soon so do not miss out on owning this Rare Barbie Collectible !!!
